What is an Educational Report (OKR)?

The primary school your child came from must give information about your child to the new school. Every primary school must prepare an educational report (OKR) when a pupil goes to a secondary school. That new school can be a regular school or a school for specialised education, such as secondary special education (vso) or practical education. The school provides the information by making an educational report. The educational report contains five sections of information. These parts are:

  • Administrative data, such as name and date of birth
  • Learning outcomes and school advice
  • Social and emotional development and behaviour
  • Guidance information
  • Whether your child often failed to attend school

The school produces the educational report. Parents do not have to approve or sign the educational report. You may, however, ask the school to include your comments. And from the age of 16, comments from your child himself. Read more about this under the question 'With whom may the school discuss information about my child?'
